BLACK HANDKERCHIEF…

She had a burning desire…

To live

To overcome

To fight

To smile.

Again...

Pain…!!!

Compelled her to weep

Yet she fought the tears

With hope

Of a better tomorrow

With hope

Of a healthier smile…

Time…

Chased her down

But faith,

Gave her peace,

Strength,

To stand the test

The test of time…

The doctors knew…

So did the family

The medics gave up...

So did the relatives

And the battlefield

Became lonelier…

And so when the pain grew...

She had no reason to fight

When time chased her down

She had no reason to run

She gave her peace,

And surrendered her strength…

Before her only son,

Before her only hope,

For a better tomorrow

For a healthier smile

She reached for it,

A black handkerchief.

She wiped her tears

Covered her face,

And gave her life

To a black handkerchief!
